The government of Qatar founded Qatar Airways on November 22, 1993, and it began operating on January 20, 1994, with flights to Amman, Jordan. A pivotal moment occurred in 1997 when the airline started a period of resurrection to become one of the top international carriers under the direction of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir’s father. Akbar Al Baker assumed the CEO role in that same year and oversaw a period of fast expansion that included the launch of numerous additional routes. The airline now has one of the most up-to-date aircraft fleets.
The airline started its cargo segment and changed ownership to the government of Qatar in 2014. The business added new Airbus A350 and A380 planes to its fleet a year later. Qatar Airways won the 2017 Skytrax Airline of the Year award for the fourth time. The airline serves over 160 destinations globally, employs about 50,000 people, and operates over 250 aircraft.

The primary elements were rearranged by developers in 2006. The name was enlarged compared to the previous version, and the airline’s emblem was shifted to the right of it. White, dark cherry and gray make up the logo’s color scheme. The Arabic script was kept.
